Stan Tucker, a native of Gallatin, Tennessee, grew up around the rich and eclectic musical sounds of Nashville.  He began classical piano study at an early age as a scholarship student at the Blair Academy of Music. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Peabody College, and continued through a Master of Music degree in piano performance from Indiana University, where he was a student of legendary pianist Menahem Pressler.  Stan was also mentored as a young student by some of Nashville’s finest musicians, all versatile professionals comfortable both in the recording studios of Music Row and on the concert stage.

These diverse musical influences, along with his love of singing, would eventually lead him to his ultimate goal: a career in music theater.  He set his sights on New York City where he found much success as a music director, conductor, pianist, vocal coach, and teacher. His 30 year career has taken him from Broadway to Off-Broadway, Tours, Regional Theater, Concerts, and to the World Capitols of Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.
